Tyrol's first nature park house on the Piller Höhe is the gateway to the Kaunergrat Nature Park with one of the most beautiful raised bogs in Europe, the Piller Moor.
Kaunergrat Nature Park is a must for all guests in Pitztal all year around.
Kaunergrat Nature Park shows a microscopic world of great diversity and originality during the summer season. Experience the high alpine landscape, the dry grassland of Fließ, the Glacier at the end of the valley and the different protected areas of the Nature Park. Make full use of the free hiking programme with a Nature Park guide.
During the winter season, Nature Park Kaunergrat offers guided winter walks (snowshoeing, adventure walks with snow games, searching for animal tracks with a game keeper or a toboggan run on a traditional horn sledge). There is a weekly schedule for the excursions of Kaunergrat Nature Park.
The modern Nature Park Centre is home to the great exhibition “3.000 metres vertical“, showing the diversity and differences in the Nature Park. The interactive approach of the exhibition is excellent, don’t miss it. Beautiful hiking trails starting directly at the Nature Park Centre invite you to experience nature and take in the breathtakingly beautiful view at the Gachenblick. There is also a restaurant with a terrace spoiling you with panoramic views.
