"From Imst to the Putzen waterfall: nature, history and Olympic glory">
The starting point of this charming tour is the tourist office, from where you set off on your way through the town. Enjoy the short time you spend strolling through the town, past old and new houses, the numerous fountains and the town hall. The path then leads you to the small Putzenweg, where the urban atmosphere is slowly replaced by the calming natural surroundings. A highlight along the way is the historic Putzenschanze, which has majestically adorned the path since 1932. Right next to the Putzenschanze is another gem - the oldest ice channel in the world. 70 years ago, this was the venue for the luge competitions during the Winter Olympics in Innsbruck. There is still a hint of Olympic splendor in the air as you discover the athletes' historic tracks. The journey continues and the path finally leads you to the small Putzen waterfall. Here you can watch as daring climbers make their way up the rocks next to the waterfall, while the rushing water creates a calming backdrop. The ideal place to pause and admire nature in all its glory. With all these fascinating impressions, you finally return to the center of Imst.
