The popular destination Zammer Lochputz fascinates with dizzying insights into one of the most beautiful wild water in Tyrol.
A truly “special” gorge awaits guests at Zammer Lochputz. The namesake of the gorge landscape, once known as ‘Zammerloch’ and long reserved for climbers, is a rock formation in the shape of a bull's head, the “Lochputz,” which watches over the petrified water nymph above the waterfall. Countless legends surround the Zammer Lochputz, making hiking in this unique natural landscape even more interesting. A water fountain, the Lötzer waterfall, a long tunnel, the Roman tower, a Kneipp basin, and the opportunity to visit a demonstration power plant make a visit to the Zammer Lochputz a unique experience.
Please note: Helmets are compulsory (helmets for our young and older visitors are available free of charge at the entrance). Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Dogs are allowed – PLEASE NOTE: there is a grating floor!
Due to construction work by ASFINAG, parking arrangements for the Zammer Lochputz have changed slightly. Several new parking spaces are available at the Lötz stop, and access to the Zammer Lochputz is via a new pedestrian bridge. If the available parking spaces are full, please use the paid parking spaces nearby.
Directly at the entrance to Tyrol's mystical gorge, the Zammer Lochputz, there is a Kneipp facility. Here you can revive your tired legs with new energy.
